TITLE OF JOB: SCHOOLSOCIAL WORKER/PSYCHOLOGIST
POSTION DESCRIPTION: The School Psychologist is directly responsible to meet the behavioral health and socio-emotional needs of General Education students: mediation, conflict resolution, therapy, case-management, crisis intervention, and threat assessment. The School Psychologist may attend to psychological assessment of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains utilizing problem-solving and standardized evaluations as needed for General Education Students. The School Psychologist attends problem-solving meetings (IEP meetings as needed), designing systems, programs and services that maximize students’ social, emotional, and educational success. In collaboration with staff, families, students, and communities the school psychologist promotes effective educational environments.
