TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE OF JOB: Hot Springs High School Secretary

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent

REPORTS TO: Building Administrator/Supervisor

JOB GOAL: To assure the efficient operation of the office so that maximum positive impact on the education of students can be realized

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Ability to type and perform clerical duties
  •  Have knowledge of computers, software and related technology - keep attendance
  •  Have good personal relations skills with staff and public
  •  Good telephone manners/take messages and route calls
  •  Maintain teacher attendance logs and call substitutes
  •  Ability to operate office machines
  •  Count money, receipt, and make deposits
  •  Order school books and supplies
  •  Maintain school inventories, student and visitor logs
  •  Perform clerical duties requested by the principal - be trustworthy- able to keep confidential
  • information.

 All other duties as requested by the administration. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Education’s policy.
