Important Information Regarding School Board Elections in November

Interested in Serving on the School Board?
Truth or Consequences Municipal Schools has four open Board of Education positions in the upcoming election:

Three 4-year terms
One 2-year term
(Seats will be filled in order of votes received.)

Candidate Filing Day:
August 26, 2025, | 9 AM – 5 PM
In-person at the Sierra County Clerk’s Office

To be eligible:
Must reside in Sierra County
Be a registered voter
Not be an employee or contractor with the district

Important Dates:
Virtual candidate trainings: July 29 & August 7 (link coming soon)
NMSBA Annual Conference: December 4–6 (new school board member training and swearing in)
