TCMSD Students Shine at Youth & Government Conference! 🏛️✨
Our 7th and 8th grade National History Day students recently traveled to Santa Fe for a two-day Youth and Government Conference, where they learned firsthand how bills are created and passed in our state!
Taking on the roles of Senators and House Representatives, our students presented their bills before committees of their peers — and their hard work paid off! 💪
✅ Two groups had their bills passed through the House, Senate, and the Governor’s Cabinet!
✅ One group made it through both chambers and to the Governor’s Cabinet but ran out of time to present.
✅ All other groups successfully passed their bills through either the House or Senate!
These incredible students represented Truth or Consequences with impeccable manners, powerful speeches, and unwavering determination. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort, teamwork, and civic leadership! 🌟👏
