Our hospitality leader, Robin Wyatt, started a new positive trend at the high school.
She gave Allison Sorg the first 'paw' on the back for her flexibility and good spirit when we had Arrive Alive presentations and the schedule was changed. Robin said "she handled it with a smile and great attitude"!
Next meeting Allison will honor our next recipient! Looking forward to sharing great things teachers are doing.
Our Tiger HOSA team competed in Health Career Photography and Biomedical Debate. They also had the opportunity to tour Health Sciences, Leadership Workshops and Anatomy.

Superintendent Seguraโs Tiger ๐ฏ Class Tour is moving along with Ms. Keely Vickersโ 1st grade class at TCES/SEC! They are celebrating Dr. Seuss week and invited Dr. Segura to read a book ๐ to them during circle time!

On February 25th, four of our HSHS Tiger cadets competed in El Paso and shot at Ysleta High School's Amigo Rifle Meet. Way to go!

It was an early morning and so good to be able to be going to invitationals again. The last one we attended was in Carrizozo in 2020.

TCMSD hosted NMPED Secretary of Education, Dr. Kurt Steinhaus, and SW Regional Superintendents, at Hot Springs High School. Superintendent Segura, Board President LaFont, and Board Member Hedge took Dr. Steinhaus to our local mom and pop restaurant Johnny Bโs for lunch.

Hot Spring High School collaborated with Truth or Consequences Police Department and Sierra County DWI Prevention Program to sponsor "Arrive Alive". The Arrive Alive Tour travels the US with their driving simulator giving students the opportunity to safely experience the effects of drinking and driving, drugged driving, and distracted driving (texting).
We'd like to thank everyone involved for supporting this important prevention experience to educate our youth on the dangers of impaired and distracted driving.

This is also a reminder that you need to submit a digital copy of your portfolio to Miss Trish by the 28th of February.
For the American Legion Scholarship that is due on the 1st, you may make your portfolio copies in the office. Please plan this so that you are not waiting until the very last second. You need to give the secretaries and aids time to make those copies.
