Student Vaccination Week:
The New Mexico Department of Health and Public Education Department have designated the week of May 3rd-8th "Student COVID Vaccination Week." Students ages 16 and older will be given priority for first-dose appointments made through the DOH COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System. You may register your 16+ year old at https://vaccinenm.org/ Expanded hours to better meet student needs will be available through some vaccination providers. Once students are fully vaccinated, they will not have to quarantine should they be identified as close contacts of a COVID-19 positive individual. Fully vaccinated students are also not considered part of the student surveillance testing pool. Students may also be vaccinated before or after that week.

!!! IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR HSHS STUDENTS AND FAMILIES !!!
Please read the attached press release regarding our decision to voluntarily extend the 100% remote period for Hot Springs High School to May 10th to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our school district and community.

Updated Lady Tigers and Tigers Basketball schedules. Another change had to be made due to facility usage overlap.

Good morning, Tigers!
Please review the updated Girls and Boys Basketball Schedules!
Our Athletic Director, Alicia Degase, has worked with our in-District ADs to reschedule our Girls and Boys Basketball games that were cancelled this week due to our one-week remote reboot at Hot Springs High School. We thank all the ADs for their flexibility to ensure we can finish our basketball season. It will be a fast and furious week of basketball so make sure you cheer on our Tiger Scholar Athletes! On another note, if Sierra County turns to a "yellow" designation, there will be no spectators allowed. We will work to get the games broadcasted.
Thank you!

Dear Tiger Family,
Please continue to maintain COVID-safe practices (proper wearing of face masks at all times, social distancing, frequent hand washing, staying home and away from others if sick) so we may continue to provide in-person learning for our students, so athletics/activities do not get cancelled for the remainder of the year, so we may have in-person end-of-year celebrations for our students, and so we can keep Sierra County designated "turquoise." It takes a village, so let's buckle down and do our job to successfully make it to the finish line!
Thank you for your help and support,
Superintendent, Dr. Channell Segura

Estimada familia y comunidad Tigere:
Muchas gracias. ¡Mi equipo y yo esperamos leer sus comentarios!
Superintendente, Dr. Channell Segura
