Spectators are FINALLY allowed. Percent of capacity for indoor and outdoor athletic events is dictated by the color designation of each County. Sierra is currently turquoise, so we can have 33% indoor and 75% outdoor.

Hi Tiger Family!
Our middle school and high school have been in hybrid for two weeks and we have not experienced any COVID Rapid Responses. Due to this positive news, we plan to transition to a less restrictive hybrid model where our students will attend two classes/classrooms in the AM and two classes/classrooms in the PM to allow for more "live instruction and support" (Please see attached graphic). This transition will take place on Monday, March 15th for ALL students (100% remote students AND hybrid students will have to transition to this new schedule) so please prepare and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your partnership and support!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND ITEMS THAT FAMILIES OF MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST DO THIS WEEK!!!
The Secondary Hybrid Cohorts will be separated by last name:
Cohort A: Last names A-L
Cohort B: Last names M-Z
• Families must contact their secondary student's school this week to let the Principal know if they plan on returning in hybrid, or remain in 100% remote. (Once the decision is made, you cannot switch, as it affects planning).
• Families may also work with their secondary student’s Principal to ensure all their students within the district (K-12) are assigned to the same Cohort (A or B).
• FYI…students may be shifted to another group by Principals to level out Cohorts if they are uneven.

The Governor and the NMPED have allowed secondary school students to return to school in a hybrid model. We will have two cohorts (A and B) that will each attend school in-person two full days per week. Cohort A will attend on Mondays and Tuesdays and Cohort B will attend on Thursdays and Fridays. Students/families MUST get in touch with their schools ASAP to let their Principals know if they want to return to school in hybrid, or remain 100% remote. You will not be able to switch after you make the decision. The first day of hybrid teaching and learning will be Tuesday, February 16th! We will communicate additional details soon! More information will be shared at the Board Meeting on February 8th at 5:30.
