HSHS seniors had had their last hurrah as a class at Hinkle Family Fun Center today!




Truth or Consequences Municipal School District is pleased to announce and welcome our new Human Resources Officer, Shara Standefer-Montoya. Shara Standefer-Montoya is a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience in education. She was previously the Director of Career & Technical Education for the Tularosa Municipal School District, the Principal of Hatch Valley High School, and a teacher of Social Studies at Hot Springs High School for sixteen years. She has a bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. She is a dedicated and driven professional with experience in teaching, leading, organizing, and managing educational programs and activities, and she has experience working with all stakeholders in partnerships to increase student achievement and create positive outcomes for the district and community. Ms. Montoya has had the benefit of being raised in rural Alaskan communities and has a love for the people and cultures of New Mexico as well. She has been married for 20 years and has been blessed with three sons, and three grandchildren. Ms. Montoya is excited to come back to the Truth or Consequences Municipal School District and looks forward to making a positive impact in her new role in the district.

HSHS students with perfect attendance were treated to fun filled time of pizza and bowling at Sidekixx today!


Join us in celebrating our 2023 HSHS Seniors! The parade will start at the Forest Ranger parking lot on N Date, head south around the town loop, to come back up to the High School for graduation at Tiger Stadium, 7pm - all are welcome!

Shout out to the wonderful people at Walmart! They delivered subs sandwiches, chips, watermelon, and drinks to our hardworking staff at HSHS for Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you!


The final passing of HSHS's PAWs-itvity Tiger 🐅 for this school year went from Social Studies teacher Robert Carey to Math teacher Frank Paul! A huge shout out to all of amazing teachers and staff who go above and beyond every day to teach, nurture, and support our students!


School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday (May 10th) within National Nurses Week. National Nurses Week is May 6-12 each year. TCMSD is grateful for Nurse Lara, Nurse Cynthia, and Nurse Ruth! These ladies cover all 5 of our schools with unwavering dedication to the physical well-being of our students and staff!





U.S. School Lunch Hero Day is held annually on the first Friday in May in honor of each person responsible for providing lunches to millions of children across America. TCMSD celebrates our hard working food service employees and their never ending dedication to our students and staff.




Members of the Academic Challenge were selected for participation prizes. Challenge coordinator Toby Soderberg traveled to HSHS to deliver prizes to Ariana Rubin and Chrisney Deseo! The HSHS Academic Challenge team, led by Science teacher Destiny Mitchell, competed for the first year and ended up 4th in their region.
