WE NEED YOUR INPUT ON THE IDEA OF "FLEX Fridays"
Tiger Family and Friends,
As we plan for next school year, we want to think about how we can utilize our time and resources in different ways to best meet the needs of our students. This past year brought about many challenges, yet the COVID Pandemic brought about new and innovative ways of teaching and learning. Our students now have their own laptops and they know how to learn and complete assignments remotely. The COVID pandemic forced us to create new opportunities for teaching and learning. Our teachers, students, and families did an amazing job shifting from in-person to remote learning, even though there were many growing pains. We are entertaining the possibility of implementing FLEX Fridays (Flexible Learning EXperience) where students would work remotely from home to complete missing or incomplete assignments, work, participate in internships/mentorships, collaborative study groups, academic support, practice athletics/activities, etc.. We would still be a 5-day school week, but one day would be "asynchronous learning" from home. We welcome your input as we work together to re-imagine teaching and learning in Truth or Consequences Municipal Schools to improve student outcomes.

Dear Tiger Family and Friends,
Thank you for your resilience and commitment to each other during a historically chaotic school year of ups and downs and all arounds! I want you all to have a wonderful, healthy, and safe summer break. Remember to stay active, drink lots of water, wear sunscreen, read a book 📚, practice your math 🧮 skills, be kind to others, and have some safe fun 🤩!
Take good care of yourselves and I look 👀 forward to welcoming you all back to school on August 2nd!
Love you all!
Superintendent Segura
